I am a 51 year old illustrator living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have been working as an illustrator as long as I can remember, but on a professionial base around 25 years.. I have done a lot of different stuff over the years, educational cartoons/illustrations, concept art (mainly for toy companies) and also final box art (toy companies). Besides that career I have always had a big heart for comic art and pin-up stuff, but I have to admit I am not a comicbook reader (or reader in general!).. I only interested in the art of it! The only comics I ever done (and published!) where a couple of erotic comics for Eros Comix (way back in the days, when I was creativily highly involved in that matter) I do a lot of commissions as well, mainly focusing on the Marvel/DC/Disney universe, and also do a lot of cons and comicstrip events. I have never worked for Marvel/DC or Disney directly on a profesional basis. My style could be described as cartoony, with sometimes tendencies to more realistic, or ‘realistic cartoony’. I have also done stuff in a realistic style, but I have more fun (and confedence!) in the other styles. I work digitally, (2D only, not 3D) however for commissions I take the old pencil/copics as tools.
