KARL COMENDADOR a professional traditional arts comic illustrator is from Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines. He used to work with Atlas publishing house, Graphic arts services inc. and became the president of the well-known Society of Philippine Illustrators & Cartoonists (SPIC) organization. He is behind the success of a local graphic novel entitled "Talahib" (Grassman) and many others. He is currently working as a freelancer.. Being with the industry for more than 40 years, his staying power, with pencil & ink as medium, is something that separates him from the others. Technology somewhat became a challenge, and he found "collaboration" as the key role to succeed from it. He had worked with the famous Redondo studio doing "The Cross and the Switchblade". He had also worked with different well- renowned Art groups like ACP comics, Black Ink Comics, Glasshouse Asia etc. He is also currently working on such Edgar Rice Burroughs web comics as "The Girl from Hollywood" and "Forgotten Tales of Love and Murder".
