Where were you born?  Where did you grow up?
Limoeiro do Norte - CE,  Brasil

Schooling?  Art training?
I did some basic courses when I was child, but we can´t never to stop art training. At moment I´m doing my last semester of Arts at the University.

How long have you been working professionally in comics?
I believe about  seven years

What things -- both in art and otherwise -- have you worked on, besides comics?  Are comics a full-time gig for you or part-time?
I already worked as baker and english teacher, but now I´m working only with comics in my full time.

Talk about how you broke into the business --was it easy? Hard? Ups? Downs? Any interesting anecdotes? When you held your first published work in your hands, how did you feel?
I started into US comic book market after I sent a ton of samples to publishers. It took a lot of time, but I never ceased. This kind of work always has good and bad times, but it´s very important always to go on.

Did you work as an assistant to any other artists? If so, please talk a bit about those experiences.
No, I didn´t.

How did your parents take to the idea of working in comics?
My parents always supported all things I decided to do. I love them.

How would you describe your workspace? Is it part of your home, or do you go "to the studio"?
I work at home. I have a special room only to do my works.

What job are you the proudest of?  What's your most embarrassing?
I´m very proud of the work on Superman series. I don´t remember of any embarrassing work of mine.

What are you currently drawing?  Comments on that project?
Well, at moment I´m looking for new jobs.

Talk about your family: Parents, siblings, home situation. Are you married? Have kids? Names? Anecdotes about married life, how it relates to your busy schedule, etc.  If you have kids do they understand your job?  What do they say about it?  Do they read comics?
I´m married! Have 2 kids, named Túlio and Tálio. My wife is Maria Lúcia. All we like to read comics, but I´m the only one like to draw.

What projects do you hope to work on in the future?
I would like a lot to work with Marvel characters

Where do you see yourself in five years?  ten?
I see myself doing my own projects.

What is the interest in comics where you live? Do friends and neighbors know you draw comics for a living?  How do they react?
All my friends like comics and movies based on some comics characters.

What's 1 thing you'll always find in your refrigerator?
Water

What's your favorite food?
Pizza

What are your favorite interests --Movies?  Music?  TV?  Any hobbies?  Sports?
I like movies a lot, this is my main entertainment.

Have you ever thought of writing your own stories?
Sure!! Someday I will dedicate myself to do this.

Ever been in a gang?
No, never.

What's an average day in your life like?  Walk us through a typical day.
I used to do same thing, penciling all day. I work at home, then I go to other places not often. I like to see movies and study.

Any humorous or interesting anecdotes to tell about the comics business?
Sorry! I don´t remember at moment. A;^)

Do you have any great, unsold projects in your files that nobody's gotten to see published?
Yes, I have it, but I just can handle it with more detail when I get to fix on my work.

If you weren't a comic-book artist today, what would you be?
I think I would be a teacher.

Have you taught comic-book art or had any assistants?  If so, talk about that.
I alreayd taught on a drawing course and had an assistant when I was working in a comic book with a very tight deadline.

The single thing you'd most like to be remembered for in your life is...?
I would like to leave an artistic legacy to my two sons and the children of my friends to be proud of me. This is a great acknowledgment all artist wants.

Art is a kind of philosophy. All people see it with different eyes and understand it in a different way.
